You've probably heard the phrase "the older you get, the faster time seems to go." This is especially true in the world of politics. For Fuse Washington, a decade has passed and we can barely believe it! It was only ten years ago that Apple introduced the first iPhone, the final Harry Potter book was published, and Nancy Pelosi became the first female Speaker of the House. This was the same year the housing bubble burst, Obama first ran for President and, most importantly, Fuse Washington was founded. 

Jim Dawson, a program director at Fuse Washington, worked on the proposal for the alliance and said it’s garnered broad support from county commissioners, city council members, law enforcement, prosecutors and community members. “It’s definitely an example of people of all political stripes coming together to meet a real need in our community,” he said.

"The Freedom Foundation says they care about workers, but what they're really about is defunding unions and defunding the left in our state," said Aaron Ostrom, executive director of Fuse Washington, a statewide coalition of progressives. "They see this as the best tactic to turn Washington from a blue state to a red state."
